Business Consultant –
Cross-border Mergers And Acquisitions

We are looking for Iceland-based professionals with a solid background in investment banking or other areas of the financial service industry. Drawing on their professional expertise, aptitude for analytical and creative thinking and ability to navigate ambiguity, the ideal candidate will demonstrate success in advising various client-types and interacting with regulators on large cross-border mergers and acquisitions.  

Requirements:

+5 years of post-graduate senior-level experience in the financial service industry in Iceland.
+2 years of consulting experience on cross-border mergers and acquisitions involving Iceland. 
Undergraduate University Degree in finance, accounting or business administration; advanced degree(s) preferred.
Ability to negotiate contracts and goals with clients, including schedules and resources. 
Ability to create and deliver executive presentations. 

Preferred Experience: 

Consulting experience in areas such as technology integration and growth strategy.
Experience in analysing markets and industries.

Responsibilities:

Possesses a strategic perspective and structured approach driven by intellectual curiosity to the problem-solving process. 
Conduct detailed qualitative and quantitative industry and market research and trend analysis.  
Assess viability of possible investments, utilising appropriate tools and technology. 
Meet with clients, communicating results and ideas effectively and with poise. 
Develop and/or advises on business plans and processes. 

Location:

The position may be performed from our offices in Amsterdam or remotely on CET, ideally fulltime but also possibly on a part-time basis.

Working Condition: 

workhours are negotiable; either remote or office-based; travel expenses are fully compensated.
